How are the recorder video effects applied, and how does it affect my recordings?
The recorder video effects do not alter the underlying video, they're a layer applied on top of the video to achieve the effect. This overlay technique is not possible on mobile devices. Recordings made using a video effect will be seen on mobile devices without the effect applied. You can however use a webcam program, such as ManyCam or WebcamMax, and apply effects directly to your video. Any effect you apply through a webcam program would be visible on all devices.

Why am I seeing a notice telling me it's time to change my browser?
The "It's time to change your browser..." notice is shown to Windows XP and Windows Vista users when using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 8 as their browser. Microsoft has dropped support for Internet Explorer 8 and Google has announced they will drop support for Chrome on both XP and Vista in April 2016. The only remaining mainstream browser that will be available on Windows XP is FireFox. Currently Windows Vista users can still use Internet Explorer 9, but support for that browser will soon end. We recommend using FireFox for the best user experience on your older XP and Vista machines.
