Hello friends!
I'm a 62-year-old gal who's originally from Da Bronx in NYC. I've been living @Houston, TX for over 40 years.. (That's where the name "YankeeBernice" comes from-) I'm married (almost 30 years) with 1 grown son and (at last count) 5 cats...

I grew up listening to all kinds of music hanks to my Dad's influence,(Classical, Big Bands, Jazz, Pop- you name it) and I absolutely LOVE singing. (I've enjoyed karaoke for almost 30 years!) I consider my "Specialty" to be able to mimic most original artists' recordings...Also.. It's SO MUCH FUN!

A funny thing (to me, at least) was that my Dad was such a Beatles fan that HE bought all their stuff (Records, sweater, figurines, etc.) and took me to see their early movies!

My Grandmother (his mom) bought me my first 45 (Big Girls Don't Cry) and I still remember the record shop- Several record players available to listen to some vinyl and see if you liked a song enough to purchase it! ($.29... I think-) Oh- and those yellow plastic things that you placed in the record's center hole so that they fit on the spindle.

They would have loved SingSnap!

One of my hobbies (besides karaoke) is Photography.. and I focus mainly on candid portraits, (people and animals) artistic views of architecture amd nature/ weather pics. (Storm chasing is a real passion!) After getting the shots, I process and "tweak" images with my computer...(I do lots of Digital "Painting". You'll find several of my portrait pieces here on this page!)

Having a somewhat weird sense of humor, I'm always coming up with puns, one-liners and Memes. (There are a couple posted below-)
An example of my silliness is: "All these years, I thought I had "Perfect Pitch". Turns out... I have a Phonographic Memory."

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to listen to my recordings! I appreciate all feedback.
