If at first you don't succeed, sing, sing again :-)
I have loved singing all of my life. Ever since I learned "Harper Valley PTA" when I was 7. I've favored Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, Linda Ronstadt and, well, you get the picture. I use to sing on a radio station called Jamboree USA in Wheeling, WV from age 10 to age 12. I kept up with my singing as an adult and got married and had a band of my own with my ex-husband at the helm of his electric guitar. I have (had) three grow sons, but my son Brian died when he was 24. He and my son Mark like to play guitar and sing. Suddenly, without warning, I began losing my hearing when I was 26. So I pretty much gave up on singing since hearing aides couldn't help me "hear" the tune of songs. About 10 years ago, I underwent surgery and had cochlear implants placed in my head and an outer processor (which is similar to a hearing aide) on the outside behind my ear. After getting both ears done, I found sing snap and started to try to sing again. It's been a long, long road and sometimes I'm still not sure if I'm singing a song in tune or not. but I sing it anyway because I LOVE to sing! I don't mind a personal message every once in awhile, but I come here to sing, not join into some "dirty" stuff. I love meeting new friends and love it when people comment on my songs. Good or bad, I get encouragement from the comments and LIB hits and I know something is wrong when I don't get any comments. So it's all very needed feedback and I appreciate each and every one of you guys. You're all my friends and I love ya! God Bless!
