As a kid growing up in the 70s music was such a big part of my life. The 60s brought names like Elvis Presley, The Beatles,The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Monkees and many other bands into the limelight. So in my late teens and twenties music had a profound impact on my life. I have my "core favorites" from those days just like we all do. Styx, Kansas, Journey, Foreigner, Boston, Asia, ACDC, Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Bad Company, Alan Parsons Project, Dokken, ELO, Great White, Tesla, Toto, Heart, Loverboy, Night Ranger, Scorpions, The Eagles, Rush, Scandal, ZZ Top and the list goes on and on. Whats really amazing is that what was my favorite song yesterday is not my favorite song today. I think throughout our lives songs that we have heard hundreds of times just seem to impact us in different ways at different times. I was out walking the other day and kept listening to the same song over and over. I just couldn't get it out of my head. My dream back in the day was to become a lead vocalist for an original band. I just was too lost in that world to know how. But singing is and always will be my passion. Someday I will get to sing before GOD in the promised paradise.
One of my favorite church songs goes like this....

No sad farewells, no tear dimmed eyes, where all is love, and the soul of man never dies.
