I'm now 44 years and been a firefighter 19 years and I'm from manhattan new york. Our local(535) fire engine 24, ladder 5, batalion 2 in manhattan were first on the scene on 9/11 tragedy. I lost 318 of my fellow firefighters that dreadful day and I miss them all.May god hold them in his hands and take care of them all along with the 3198 innocent lives that were also lost that day.
All of new York fire engines and many great countries sent help to clean up the rubbish created in 9/11. If you could imagine 10 blocks by 6 blocks 9 stories high was what we had to deal with. It took us and fellow country firefighters to clean up 9 months 24/7.
I lost 30 percent of my lungs due to chemicals I faced with cleaning up the mess.
You might hear it when I sing.
I enjoy playing my guitar and singing in rooms.I enjoy chatting and meeting new friends. If you want to know more just ask. I have been very sick and still recovering for the past year.
I am single and lost the love of my life Christi who was my everything. It has been a long road back trying to put my personal life in perspective but when you lose your soulmate it is a very difficult task and my job doesn't help either. I work 24 hour shifts and when I'm not working I'm on call. It is hard to meet someone and expect them to be in a life with you because you are constantly working as a firefighter.
I've been away for a few years and I'm back with good health. I signed up again and I really like this place. It helps me think of good things.
I was faced with covid 19 which I got from answering a 9/11 and was one of the lucky ones where I only experienced mild symptoms. I was in isolation for 2 weeks and went back to work 3 weeks later. It has been 2 months now and I'm back to full strength and still 1st responder to everything but shootings where the NYPD takes care of that.
Love you all my good friends on here and if you like to know more just ask.
Thank you for visiting my page and God bless always.
