DADDYBEAR... IN HIS OWN WORDS…
"I was born in Rangoon, Burma I loved music when I was about 10 years. I started singing in our church choir, went out carol singing at Christmas time. It was in the 50's when I actually loved pop songs my favorite sing was Pat Boone. We could not afford to buy a radio so I sit on the side walk of the street and listen to other peoples radio. My friends and I use to go to the American Embassy and listen to the hit parade every week. I remember when Frankie Avalon's 'Venus' was no: 1 for weeks. we formed a trio and gave an audition with the BBS radio ( Burma Broadcasting Service ) with the song 'Little Darling' where we got a spot then I started entering Challenge contest like Elvis Presley of Burma came 2nd place, Cliff Richard of Burma 1st place Ricky Nelson of Burma 1st place after that I was offered a spot by the BBS singing Ricky Nelson hits got had a lots of fan mail etc.
I left Burma for India in search for my father. The night life in Calcutta grab me so I learnt the double bass and join a band and traveled all over the country for some time, then I took up ventriloquism which payed four times more than a musician for only 15 mins work. I had my own TV show in Madras, in the 80's left for England did a couple of shows where I met a Dutch girl, moved to the Netherlands became a landscape gardener and here am I another year older Sing Snapper. Merry Christmas to all RCers and thank Q so much for listening and your lovely comments. here are 5 songs which I don't like lol no space left.....
1: 'But For Now' ~ Jamie Cullum
2: 'Stargazer' ~ Neil Diamond
3: 'I Will Talk and Hollywood Will Listen' ~ Robbie Williams'
4: ' Memories Are Made Of This' ~ Dean Martin
5: ' That's All' Michael ~ Buble
