Music has always been a part of my life. I was raised listening to and singing Southern gospel and old country songs, my dad's preferences.
My mom gave me the love of oldies rock and roll, songs from the 20's, 30's, and 40's.
From my Granny came bluegrass and hillbilly music.
My Grandma and Grampa taught me to appreciate "island music" and Cajun fiddle music.
I still love singing gospel music, blue grass and old country, in that order.
Gospel music speaks to the very core of my soul. It reminds me where I have been, where I am now and where I still want to be, with God holding my hand, every step of this journey called life.
I still have damage to my lungs from chemo in 2017. I work every day on making them stronger. Singing helps me with that. It is also very therapeutic for me. I record when I can , I listen when I can't but, I sing every day because it keeps me going.
