a Taste of Country

This is not a contest nor do we have regular challenges.. a Taste of country is just a place for country music lovers to be able to post their music and make it easier for other country music lovers to find and also to just come interact and listen to some great country talent...
This country music channel thread was opened by myself and Oldersinger75 in tribute to Merle Haggard after his death in 2016.. Oldersinger75 (Ted Campbell) was and is a long time real life friend of Merle Haggard's for over fifty years... He took his death hard and wanted to do something to honor his long time friend... Ted is almost 90 and was too Ill to be here so I opened it for him honoring Merle.. ... He drops in now and then... ***All Merle Haggard songs are playlisted here but you may post any country songs you like in the thread... no matter who the artist is.. Just as long as it is COUNTRY! Merle Haggard (the Hag) was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and fiddler
born near the town of Oilfield in Bakersfield California on April 6th, 1937...
Originally a troubled youngster who served time in San Quentin prison.
Haggard grew to be a country legend with 38 No. 1 hits and 250 original songs,
Haggard remains one of the best known and most covered country artists in the
