We are going to run a Music Marathon. This is a 3 Day event. You can run all 3 days, or run just 2 days, or run just 1 day. Each day will have a different theme and you must sing according to that day's theme as listed below. Our singing and listening requirements still apply.

Wednesday Aug. 1 Day 1 Theme..Post one OPEN DUET..then Post one complete duet

Thursday Aug. 2 Day 2 Theme...Post one song from the Country genre...then Post one song from the Rock genre

Friday Aug. 3 Day 3 Theme..Since this is a Marathon sing any song with one of these words in the song title, artists name, or song lyrics: RUN,RAN,
TIRED,DISTANCE,MILES,WIN,WINNER,TRACK,STREET,HURT,SWEAT..or sing any song where the artist or title begin with one of these letters: M,A,R,A,T,H,O,N

This is how it works:
Each day I will post a theme
You sing songs based on that theme and post them to the message board
You can either sing a song fresh that day or post a prerecord that you have that fits the theme. Also any duets, open duets, harmonies, group sings ..may be posted as long as they fit the theme.

PLEASE NOTE..This portion is strictly enforced. We ask that you listen and comment to three other people who have posted on that day's theme. This rule applies for each song you post to the theme. So if you post 3 songs you then must listen and comment on nine others that have posted. So in essence the more you post the more you listen. Also try to spread your listens around to different members of the group. Don't listen to the same people day in and day out. Give everyone a chance to be heard. Lately this has been an issue in the club of folks not listening to others. Folks who do not follow this rule will be subject to removal from the club.

You are more than welcome to sing and post as many songs as you wish according to the theme. Only 2 songs will be included in the official list that Peter updates. We encourage members to listen and comment on songs posted to the official list first..and then if you have extra time go to the extra songs. Also please take some time to listen to folks who post later on in the theme since we cannot all be here at the time of the theme's posting.

Is anyone having problems getting their songs to load once recorded. Once I finish my song it just sits on the same page saying "sending recording" and yet nothing is happening!! No blinking lights, nothing!

Well something is glitching...I had a theme page magically show up on my comments page, this thing is slow, and I recorded a barefoot Ricky Martin for ya Tas but it wouldn't load. After recording the song it just sat on the record page, and the there wasn't even a blinking light on "sending recording". Absolutely nothing. I have just now rebooted, and I don't know where the cashe is on a mac, I thought I'd done it before but can't remember how now. Gonna try and record a song again and see what happens.

I had some issues this morning, I had 3versions flash players loaded in chrome... 2 chrome and 1 adobe... I disabled the 2 chrome ones and updated the adobe and it fixed the issue.

Yes...Google Chrome has flash integrated into it...If you download flash from explorer or firefox and also have Google Chrome..the two flashes will have issues...I only use the Google Chrome flash and don't use any other browsers with flash.

I am having the same problems. Sometimes this works: restart computer, run my memory clearing system, run my other clearing system, go to the song (I always have to record it again -- the other day FOUR times!!), clear my cache (including the browser history) -- then, if I am lucky it will work!!! AARRGGGHHH!! I think ss is overloaded -- but youtube is having trouble too!

This duet challenge is really, really tough on some of us, guys. One duet I would understand -- but both is pretty rigid. Tas, you always have duets. Some of us don't. Good luck everyone.

Have just recorded something and it took about 3 mins to save,must be busy ,if that happens open another page ,do something else and then return,seems to happen more when web cam used
